Sony Philippines today unveiled the VAIO NW notebook – a new line of life style oriented PC. A classy design composed by the new texture, 2-tone color, and clear touch pad. Combined with the 15.5” Real Wide (16:9 aspect ratio) screen, and the user-friendly convenient functions including Quick Web Access for instant web browsing. The notebook provides comfort for daily use.

 

The design calculated for comfort

VAIO NW is calculated for the classy appearance and the usability. The surface texture is patterned on a visual motif of the natural world, the soft 2-tone color tunes the outside and inside tones, and the clear touch pad with dotted pattern gives an accent to the design. Furthermore, to enhance the usability, the combination of the 1-piece waved body and the isolation keyboard contributes to a fatigue-free operation and reduces mistyping.

 

15.5” Real Wide screen with small footprint 

The large 15.5” Real Wide LCD vibrantly displays photos and home videos over the entire 16:9 aspect ratio screen, while the reverse hinge contributes to shrink the footprint for minimizing the space to store. Also, thanks to the HDMI output connector and Sony’s Resolution Utility, the images can easily be displayed on a larger screen TV.

 

User-friendly, convenient functions

VAIO NW is equipped with Quick Web Access function – one push to launch directly into the web without having to wait for the Windows^® operating system to load. DISPLAY OFF button – conserves the power by letting the users to turn off the screen while the notebook continues to run in the background for a quick resume. Also, to enhance the music and photo experience, the following Sony entertainment software applications are preinstalled. PMB (Picture Motion Browser) – an easy-to-use organizer to keep memorable photos and videos. VAIO Movie Story - an easy way to produce your own high-quality home movies, and VAIO MusicBox - a fun and automated way to enjoy music based on one’s mood.

 

Solid, yet eco-friendly usability

VAIO NW is equipped with fast and reliable performance; an Intel^® Core™2 Duo Processor, ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4570 graphics card, 250 GB hard disk drive, and 2 GB of RAM. Wireless LAN and Bluetooth^® provide extensionality. Windows Vista^® Home Basic 32-bit comes pre-installed. The notebook is also an eco-conscious model. It is ENERGY STAR 5.0 compliant, and it comes in a new slim package that comprised of 98 percent recycled content.
