How to check the current version of Windows Service Pack installed?
Checking the version of Windows Service Pack that is installed on the Operating System.
The procedure below is only applicable for Windows® 2000 Professional and Windows® XP Professional/Home edition.
1. Click Start and click Run.
2. Type winver.exe in the Run dialog box and click OK
3. The Windows Service Pack information is available in the pop-up window that appears.
4. Click OK to close the pop-up window.
