How do I update pre-installed apps such as Netflix or YouTube™? (Android TV™)

If the Google Play™ store app is set to Auto-update apps at any time (default), preinstalled apps on your Android TV™, such as Netflix® or YouTube™ streaming services, are generally updated automatically.

To check your settings, use the following procedure:

1. On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
2. The next steps vary depending on your TV, select the steps that best match your TV menu options:
   • Select  Apps → Google Play store → Settings → Auto-update apps → Auto-update apps at any time.
   • Select Google Play store → Settings → Auto-update apps → Auto-update apps at any time.
   • Steps from the Google Play store profile.
     1. Select Google Play store. If necessary, select Apps first, depending on your TV menu.
     2. Select your profile icon in the top-right of the screen.
     3. Select Manage apps and games.
     4. Select Updates.
     5. You can select any listed app to update or select Update all.
        Note: To check your settings for automatic updates, go back to your Google Play store profile and select Settings. There you can view or change the settings for Auto-update apps at any time or Don't auto-update apps.
3. Press the Back button to return to a previous menu or the TV button to exit the Home menu.
