The Android TV™ turns on automatically. The Android TV turns off automatically.

    This answer provides information for disabling different features that may cause the TV to turn on or off automatically:

    If the power is turning on:

    • Disable On timer.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select TimersOn timerOn timer.
        • Select  Apps — Timers — On timer — On timer.
        • Select Timers — On timer or Timer — On timer.
      3. Uncheck On timer.
    • Set the Auto TV on or TV auto power on setting of BRAVIA Sync settings to Off.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Watching TV — External InputsBRAVIA Sync settings.
        • Select External InputsBRAVIA Sync settings.
      4. Select Auto TV on or TV auto power on.
      5. Set to Off.
    • Set the Remote Start on setting of BRAVIA Network settings to Off.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. Select Network & Internet or Network.
      4. Select Remote Start.
      5. Set to Off.

    If the power is turning off:

    Check the Daydream or Screen saver settings:

    • Set When to Sleep or Put device to sleep to Never.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesScreen saverPut device to sleepNever. (Android™ 9)
        • Select Screen saverPut device to sleepNever. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
        • Select DaydreamWhen to sleepNever(Android 6.0 or earlier)
    • Set Daydream or Screen saver to Backdrop or Colours.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Device PreferencesScreen saverScreen saver. (Android 9)
        • Select Screen saverScreen saver. (Android 8.0 or earlier)
        • Select DaydreamDaydream(Android 6.0 or earlier)
      4. Set to Backdrop or Colours.

        NOTE: To prevent screen burn-in, when Daydream/Screen saver is set to Sleep or None, the TV goes to sleep mode after the time period set in When to Daydream or When to start. This function still works even if When to Sleep or Put device to sleep are set to Never. However, it does not activate when a program or movie is playing on the TV.

      Set the Sleep timer and Idle TV standby to Off:

      • Set Sleep timer to Off.
        1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
        2. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options: 
          • Select Timers — Sleep timerOff. 
          • Select  AppsTimers — Sleep timerOff.
      • Set Idle TV standby to Off.

        NOTE: Depending on the model, the Auto shut-off function may also need to be turned off.

        1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
        2. Select  Settings.

          • Select Device PreferencesPowerIdle TV standby Off. (Android 9)
          • Select Power EcoIdle TV standbyOff. (Android 8.0 or earlier)

      If the above steps do not help to resolve the symptom, reset the TV to the original factory settings
