Awesome X9507g 55 (don't buy smaller)

X8500G / X8507G Series 17 November 2019 by Samsung Graduate (Philippines)

Our Samsung finally died and the remote for our LCT in our spare room conked out. A friend owns the X700 and recommended I take a look at it. I really wanted an android TV after looking around so Sony was a top contender along with Sharp and LCT. Unfortunately, Sharp was not too easy to research and the hands on experience with LCT's new C6 and P8 models somehow left a lot to be desired. Admittedly, LCT's pricing and Harman Kardon speakers would have been a great option to replace our spare TV but not our main entertainment unit. SM had a really good deal with the X800 that was almost too hard to pass up on, but the sound was underwhelming and the picture on the X850 was just much better with the X1 processor. After going through some reviews, it seemed the X950 was the one to buy but the price was just too much. The wonderful sales lady at SM landed me on the 55 inch X8507G. It has the X1 chip for great picture quality (unlike the X8500), Dolby Atmos for great sound (unlike the smaller X850 variants), and a price which isn't too off-putting (unlike the A950's). BDO had a buy now pay later 24-month 0% interest installment sale which eased the pain. Plus they threw in a free JBL bluetooth speaker. After installing it on our existing Sigma wall mount, which it fit perfectly since the TV's VESA mounting points are smack in the middle like our Samsung (consider this always), it was a breeze setting it up and enjoying it. Key is to buy at least 55 inches. If you buy smaller, it's not worth the money.

Great Choice! Satisfied!

X8500G / X8507G Series 16 October 2019 by Love Watching Movies (Philippines)

I bought a 49 inch of this model X850G and I am very satisfied with how the TV's capability of upscaling HD movies into near 4K and UHD content. Some say this is not a TV good for movies.. Well.. I do not agree.. the only issue is the black or dark scene since it uses an IPS Edge LED panel unlike the Direct LED, Full Array and VA panel but trust me. When you experience this TV.. it no longer matters because of what this TV is capable of when we talk about pictures, clarity, resolution, brightness and sharpness. Though I am not a fan of MotionFlow feature for a movie so I am turning it off. PROS: * Great Pictures, Colours, Clarity and Brightness * Upscaling is very good if you are watching HD movies * Easy of use * The wide angle capability is superb! when watching at angles. * Sound is pretty good as well CONS * Blacks is not as deep dark black, but I'm fine with that. This is not an issue as the black still shows dark for me. TIP: When watching movies, Turn-off the MotionFlow feature as the movies becomes too realistic and seems like you are watching a live broadcast movie which is not quite satisfying and expected picture as a movie. MotionFlow feature is excellent to use when watching games like Boxing or Basketball as it brings the picture more lively. MotionFlow is good to use also when watching animated films like Alita, Monsters vs Aliens, Hotel Transylvania etc.. and when watching National Geographic, Discovery and History channels. But never in a movie.

Great but still can improve

49 in (123 cm) 29 September 2019 by muchukoy (Philippines) Verified Purchaser Verified

I just hope that all features will be across all sizes. I bought a 49 inches but unfortunately the acoustic sound is available only to bigger size variants.

Sony TV update 6520 made my 43X8500g a GARBAGE!

X8500G / X8507G Series 06 September 2019 by GalileoT (Philippines)

Sony's usb multi format capability is the main reason i chose sony over other brands then sony removes this feature via sony tv update & literally 6520 update degrades & made my tv useless for entertainment. usb playback has now video & audio problems & some formats arent supported anymore i cant even play high bitrate blu-ray remux.I havent had this kind of problems before 6520 update. Sony might be violating consumer rights here people are paying for those kind of features then sony would remove such features without disclosing to the public. i hope sony will see this reviews & release an update that would fix the issue ASAP. i'd be glad if sony could reach me out & help me revert back my unit's previous software version. if sony wouldnt address this issues asap will definitely ask for return or much better refunds.

43X8500G

X8500G / X8507G Series 07 July 2019 by DoneDos (Philippines)

Very nice tv. I thought all screen sizes has an acoustic audio feature. It sad to know that 49'' below dont have this feature. Still a good and fast tv.
