RX0 II premium tiny tough camera
This software update enables high-quality live-streaming and online communication.
The RX0 II is the ideal life-sharing companion. It captures stunning images, even in dim light, with the powerful 1.0-type sensor and low-distortion ZEISS® Tessar T* lens, and it lets you share them easily with your smartphone. It also features internal 4K-movie recording, impressive image stabilization, an improved 20 cm minimum focus distance, and a 180 °-tiltable LCD screen.
Reflecting the camera's robust construction and go-anywhere functionality, it sports a simple and practical ribbed design, with clean lines and no unnecessary protrusions. The extra super duralumin body is dependably rigid but light in weight.
Packed into the RX0 II's tiny body is a wealth of cutting-edge imaging technology, designed to deliver beautiful images in whatever shooting situation you may encounter. Clear Image Zoom enables up to 2x zoom with minimal loss of quality.
The 1.0-type Exmor RS™ CMOS sensor works in tandem with the advanced BIONZ X™ image-processing engine to provide a wide dynamic range, reduced noise, natural-looking details and rich tonal gradations.
Internal 4K movie recording with full pixel readout
The RX0 II lets you record 4K movies with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, using 1.7x oversampling to help produce stunningly clear images and action scenes. Despite the camera's compact size, it supports internal 4K 30p recording (QFHD: 3840 x 2160), making it ideal for shooting high-image-quality movies when you're traveling or when you're capturing scenes from daily life.
Super-compact and lightweight, the RX0 II is built to be tough and resilient. Throw it in your bag or carry it from a strap without worries, and use it in settings where you could never shoot before.
The RX0 II is a serious camera in a tiny package. It's easy to carry anywhere you go, and it delivers high-quality images wherever you shoot. Its simple design and lack of protrusions also make it easier to set up, pack and store.
Down to 10 meters (33 feet)
Whether you're snorkeling in fresh water, shooting poolside or out in a thunderstorm, the RX0 II will expand your shooting potential. There's no need to safeguard against rainwater or splashed drinks, and you can also shoot comfortably in desert settings with sand and dust. All without requiring a special waterproof case or additional accessories.
From a height of 2.0 meters (6.5 feet)
Thanks to the shockproof design, you won't need to worry about the occasional accident — the RX0 II's rugged body is built to withstand the impact of a drop from a height of 2.0 meters (6.5 feet).
Up to 200 kgf/440 lbf/2000 N
There's no need for super-delicate treatment — stow the camera comfortably in a carrying bag or a pocket and bring it wherever you go without concern.
The camera's LCD monitor tilts upward around 180 °, making it easy to frame selfie shots and vlogging sessions. With its waterproof and dustproof design you can even use it for underwater shots. The monitor also tilts downward, by around 90 °, to help when you're shooting from a high angle.
The VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip has integrated controls to let you trip the shutter release and operate the record button and the camera's zoom from the grip itself. The shooting grip can also be converted for use as a tabletop tripod.
In spite of its ultra-compact size, the RX0 II comes equipped with a microphone jack, so you can attach an external mic for better quality sound in your vlogs and movies.
Shooting at frame rates of up to 960fps/1000fps captures split-second action and allows you to produce super slow-motion movie scenes. You can even capture in full HD resolution at up to 120fps/100fps.
The camera's new interval recording feature enables continuous shooting with a set interval between 1 and 60 seconds. These still images can then be edited into a time-lapse movie on a PC.
The RX0 II's continuous shooting capabilities allow you to better capture decisive moments of action and fleeting facial expressions. Up to 129 JPEG (Standard) images can be shot in one burst.
The Anti-Distortion Shutter is capable of shutter speeds of up to 1/32,000 sec., and it's designed to minimize the rolling shutter phenomenon which can distort images of fast-moving objects.
With the Picture Profiles feature and S-Log2, you can set the overall tone of movie productions from the camera body, adjusting parameters that affect the final look of your movies.
Catch up with your friends and family on the big screen by connecting your camera to the BRAVIA TV.
The perfect setup for casual use with a smartphone
Sony's Imaging Edge Mobile app lets you control multiple cameras from a smartphone or other mobile device. Wireless connectivity gives you greater flexibility in positioning your cameras, which are sturdy and small enough to go nearly anywhere.
Precise, accurate control to meet the needs of a professional workflow
With the optional Camera Control Box (CCB-WD1), you can simultaneously control multiple cameras, monitoring and changing settings remotely from a connected PC. This provides a stable connection to the cameras to facilitate accurate multi-camera synchronization, and it allows immediate file transfer from the cameras for easier file management.
