The unit sometimes becomes hot.

For high-quality playback, this unit uses parts that consume a lot of power, causing the internal generation of heat during use.
The power consumption and heat increase when playing High-Resolution Audio, using DSEE HX, setting GAIN to HIGH, playing at a high volume, etc.

If you feel that the unit is getting too hot, check the following.

• Turn off the DSEE HX switch when playing High-Resolution Audio.
• Set the GAIN select switch to NORMAL.
• Turn down the volume.
• Expose the unit to the air on occasion.
• Turn off the unit when not in use.

NOTE: Use this unit in a well-ventilated place, where the heat can dissipate.
In particular, refrain from using the unit for long periods while it is inside a closed bag or wrapped in cloth.
The unit can become overheated.
