How to reduce input lag for Game.

    IMPORTANT: This article applies only to specific products and/or operating systems. Check the Applicable Products and Categories section of this article before starting these steps.

    NOTES:

    • When you're playing HDR video games and using an HDMI input on your TV, make sure you select the appropriate HDMI input on your TV. Then, follow the correct steps below.

    • Before performing the steps, make sure that the Android TV™ has the latest software version installed.

    The method for reducing input lag for Game varies depending on your model.

    For Android TVs released after 2016 except X9350D/ W8D/ W9D/ XD93_X93D_XD94_X94D/ XD85_X85D/ SD85_S85D Series:

    1. Turn on the Game mode on your Android TV.

      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Display & SoundPicturePicture modeGame.
        • Select DisplayPicturePicture modeGame.
    2. Set A/V Sync to Auto on your Android TV.

      NOTE: If the A/V sync option is not shown in the menu, skip this step.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select  Settings.
      3. The next steps will depend on your TV menu options:
        • Select Display & SoundAudio outputA/V syncAuto.
        • Select SoundA/V syncAuto.

    For Android TVs released in 2015 and X9350D/ W8D/ W9D/ XD93_X93D_XD94_X94D/ XD85_X85D/ SD85_S85D Series:

    • For HDR video games:

      Turn off the Motionflow on your Android TV.
      1. Press the ACTION MENU button on the remote control.
      2. Select Picture or Picture adjustments.
      3. Select Advanced settings.
      4. Under Motion, select Motionflow.
      5. Select Off.
    • For other video games:

      Turn on the Game mode on your Android TV.
      1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
      2. Select Picture or Picture adjustmentsPicture modeGame.
