    What to do if the CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that was upgraded to Windows Vista?

    Optical Disk Drive issue after installing SP1.

    This symptom may occur if one of the following scenarios is true:

    • The filter drivers in the CD and the DVD storage stack are not migrated successfully to Windows Vista.
    • An uninstalled CD software that fails to properly remove itself in the registry.
    • An installed software that adds filter drivers in the CD and the DVD storage stack interfered with existing filters.
