Cyber-shot™ Digital Camera

Discover Cyber-shot technology
It might be a fleeting smile, a priceless expression or the winning shot into the goal post, Sony’s range of Cyber-shot cameras have all the necessary features that allow you to immortalize precious memories. All you need to do is learn to utilize them. Here’s a guide on the many features on your Cyber-shot and how you can make full use of them.
Face Detection
Face DetectionWith Face Detection technology, your Cyber-shot camera can identify up to eight faces in the shot and focus on the right elements by optimising the camera’s settings. Some models are even able to do automatic optimisation.

With optimised flash, exposure and white balance, skin tones can have a more natural look, faces in shadows are detected and properly focused, and facial glare and red-eye effect reduced. Now, no one needs to be left “in the dark” or appear blurry in the shot

And the best thing is, the camera is able to differentiate between adults and children, and make children the shot’s focal point.

Smile Shutter technology
smile ShutterEver snap a picture and realized afterwards that you didn’t manage to capture your subject’s smile? With Smile Shutter technology, you’ll be rid of this problem. Just select the Smile Shutter mode, decide on the smile sensitivity, and the camera will detect a smile and automatically take a picture.
Double Anti-blur technology

If you have shaky hands and worry about not being able to take great pictures, you can now breathe a sigh of relief. Sony’s Double Anti-blur technology makes even challenging shot look easy to capture. Cameras with this function will produce clear images, even when taking indoor pictures or during poor lighting conditions.

The Double Anti-blur technology is a combination of an optical image stabilizer (Optical SteadyShot) and High ISO Sensitivity.

The optical image stabilizer, made up of built-in motion sensors and a motor-driven lens element, can detect any slight camera shake and move the lens to alter the light angle to compensate for the movement.

The high ISO sensitivity combats blurring due to movement by the subject, and the higher the ISO setting, the faster the shutter speed, great for capturing moving subjects.

With twice the anti-blur solution, you are now able to achieve steady shots even at long zooms or slow shutter speeds.

The Bionz Image Processor

The Bionz Image Processor offers what a usual image processor performs, like colour, sharpness, white balance and noise reduction manipulations, but goes one step further. It also offers Dynamic Range Optimisation, which adjusts an image’s exposure and contrast level to counter the effects of shooting conditions that involves high contrast elements, adding a dash of vibrant realism to your picture.
