Massive step backwards

Bought this when my old Sony HT-CT60BT of 11 years packed in. At 5 times the wattage and 11 years of development since, I was expecting a significantly improved experience. However the new system is far inferior. The sound is dull and muffled, no better than my inbuilt tv speakers. The only time it comes alive is watching an action film and the sub woofer kicks in. My old system was far superior in clarity and connectivity - this new model does not even have an aux input so I can't plug in my turntable like I used to. Extremely disappointed.

Regarding the sound issue, please try the steps below and test again:
1. Disconnect the cables that are connected between the TV and the speaker system, then connect them firmly again.
2. Disconnect the AC power cords of the TV and the speaker system from the AC outlets (mains), then connect them again after 1 minute.
3. When the speaker system and TV are connected with an HDMI cable only, make sure that the HDMI jack of the connected TV is labelled with “ARC.”
4. Try using different cables.
5. Try connecting the speaker system to different devices and different HDMI ports.

It stopped turning on in 6 month's, and not worth the money it would cost to ship it for the warranty coverage. I basically spent $178 on trash. Very disappointing.

Got it for almost a month now from Courts Megastore Tampines. This is my first ever soundbar. It was recommended to me by their sales staff and i was offered a PWP price even though i did not buy anything else. Setup was very easy using HDMI Arc. Bass was good. Surround sound was also good. For the price i paid around $369 which included Courts extra 2 years warranty, it was worth it.

This system gives adequate performance if you are not a Hifi buff. The controls are fairly basic, volume and bass but the bluetooth is a useful feature to play from phone or mp3 player. The voice button improves treble enabling clearer speach. Performance is reasonable for the money but don't expect concert hall performance.

Lousy warranty. Died 6 Months out of warranty sound bar died. All Sony would do is pay for 1/2 of the repair. I had to provide box., pay shpping and wait for repair estimate. It was hard to find a customer service phone number and they don't advertise their hours.

I purchased this sound bar 3 months ago along with my sony 50” smart tv. While the bass is good for watching action films it is very disappointing for dramas trying to make out what people are saying. I have just finished watching Adolescence on Netflix and it was nearly impossible to make out episode 4. Very disappointed with purchase.

You can reduce the BASS level by pressing the (BASS -) button on the remote control.
If the issue remains, try the steps below and test again:
1. Disconnect the AC power cord (mains lead) from the wall outlet (mains) and then reconnect after several minutes.
2. Make sure that the sound bar is updated: https://cutt.ly/EraDIpU6
3. Connect the sound bar to the TV through HDMI cable instead of Bluetooth by following the steps in the "Listening to a TV Connected with an HDMI Cable (ARC) or Optical Digital Cable" section on page 1 here: https://cutt.ly/braDPa4R
4. If you're already using HDMI connection, disconnect the cables that are connected between the TV and the speaker system, then connect them firmly again.
5. When the speaker system and TV are connected with an HDMI cable only, check that the HDMI jack of the connected TV is labeled with “ARC.”
6. Set the digital audio out setting of the TV (BRAVIA) to "PCM".

I bought this and i really suprise the quality especially the bass... i means for the price.. below Ringgit Malaysia RM1000, this is the best soundbar with wireless BASS u can get. 330 watt.. you turn the volume to 35/100 and your living room have becomes cinema and if 50/100 volumes, it already rock your floor. Trust me...Off course below rm500, u can get HT-S100F but they dont have bass speaker stand alone. It also good choice for budget but for midrange and valuebuy, trust me sony is the best compare to other brand. And for more than Rm1000 spending too, off course laa u have much more choices.. but for wireless setup this is the best, only cons it dont have toslink audio cable support. Only bluetooth, hdmi arc and coxcial audio. Below 1000, i dont expect it to have NFC and wifi la... but for the price bargain.. its good already. Trust me

After being installed the blue tooth music skipped. You have to turn off the sound bars and then unplug it, wait for 1 minute and then plug it back in. That solved the problem.

I bought this to replace my old Yamaha YAS-207. The Yamaha soundbar was great quality, but the bluetooth pairing would fail with the Subwoofer 1 out of every 8-10 starts and this drove me crazy, so I sold it. I bought this Sony soundbar from the Sony rep at John Lewis in Bristol after he gave me a quick demo in store. I was very impressed at the quality for the price. Once I got it home and used it for a few weeks, the bluetooth pairing was lighting fast both with the subwoofer and my iPhone and iPad. After this experience, I would only go for Sony soundbars in future.

This sony soundbar has a good sound quality overall but is a bit too bassy, and can get noisy easily, especially in a small room. The setup was very easy. The subwoofer is the best part of this set, if placed correctly it has amazing quality. I would recommend it more for tv than for music.
