How to connect Bluetooth headphones to a Windows 7 computer.
Important! Read this before you start
Follow these steps to connect Bluetooth headphones to a computer. The following steps are applicabe for Windows 7. For Windows Windows 11, 10, and 8.1, refer to Pairing procedure for Windows 11, 10, and 8.1

Note: If you are not using a VAIO® computer or are using an external Bluetooth adapter, the first step will be different. Check the manufacturer's user guide for information about turning on the Bluetooth adapter.
- Turn on the Bluetooth adapter in the computer.
- Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, click Hardware and Sound.
- In the Hardware and Sound window, under Devices and Printers, click Add a Bluetooth device.
- Configure your Bluetooth headphones to be discoverable.
Note: Check the manufacturer's instructions for information about how to make the Bluetooth headphones discoverable.
- In the Add a device window, click to select Bluetooth headset and then click the Next button.
- After the Bluetooth headset connection is successful, click the Close button.
- Click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, click Hardware and Sound.
- In the Hardware and Sound window, click Sound.
- In the Sound window, click to select Bluetooth Hands-free Audio and then click the Set Default button.
- Click the OK button.
Notes:
- Any sound normally heard through the computer speakers should now be heard through Bluetooth headphones.
- When you want to hear sound through the computer speakers again, make the computer speakers the default playback device or disconnect the headphones.
