In the Downloads section, please select Notebook and proceed with the steps below:
1. Move the cursor to the relevant Notebook Series and click the model of the VAIO computer.
2. Locate Intel® PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Driver Upgrade and proceed as per instructions on the screen.
This new driver will improve the following functionality support:
1. Reduce system power.
2. Ensure proper detection of the RF (Wireless LAN) hardware switch settings.
3. Improve connectivity to the access points.
Note:
Sony recommends this update if users are working in or visiting areas that are highly sensitive to Radio Frequencies (RF) emitted by Wireless LAN (for example hospitals, on board airplanes etc).
