Why isn't there any sound coming from the speaker which is connected to the VAIO computer through Roland's EDIROL UA-5?
The is no sound coming from the speaker which is connected to the VAIO computer through Roland's EDIROL UA-5.
As sounds are usually reproduced from the speaker connected through the output terminal of EDIROL UA-5 during the playback of recorded or imported audio files, and in this case, EDIROL UA-5 has become the playback device, no sound will be reproduced from the speakers of the VAIO computer.
If the imported file cannot be played back from the speaker connected through EDIROL UA-5:
During the playback (through the speakers connected to the output terminal of EDIROL UA-5), a WAV file with a sampling rate of 96KHz was recorded through EDIROL UA-5, the sample rate of EDIROL UA-5 needs to be set to 96kHz Play.
Note: To check the sampling rate of the WAV file, please refer to the sampling rate of the selected WAV file shown at the top SonicStage Mastering Studio.
Even if the sample rate of EDIROL UA-5 is not the same as what is displayed on SonicStage Mastering Studio, the sound is still reproduced. However, there may be dropouts or the file cannot be played back.
After the sample rate settings have been changed, turn off EDIROL UA-5 and turned it on again.
1. Click the Menu tab and then click Exit.
2. Shut down Windows and turn off EDIROL UA-5.
3. Change EDIROL UA-5 sample rate settings.
4. Turn on EDIROL UA-5 and then start Windows.
5. Start SonicStage Mastering Studio.

Please refer to the steps below to playback the WAV file recorded through EDIROL UA-5 through the VAIO computer speakers.
1. After completing the recording of file through EDIROL UA-5, click Input Source.
2. Select Line or Mic option and click Next.
3. Click Play.
