What is the difference between Reset Default / Camera Settings Reset and Factory Reset / Initialize?

• Reset Default / Camera Settings Reset function

  The settings for the main shooting modes will be reset.

• Initialize function

  Reset the settings that the Reset Default / Camera Settings Reset function does, as well as other settings such as Date/Time Setup and Wi-Fi Settings. In addition, Face Memory, File Number, and downloaded applications will also be deleted.

• Factory Reset function

  Reset all the settings that the Initialize function does, as well as AF Micro Adjustment settings.

Notes:

• The available functions may vary depending on the camera model.
• Do not turn the camera off while resetting.
• The camera may show a blank screen for approximately 10 seconds after performing a reset. This is normal operation and not a malfunction.
• The functions that will be reset vary by camera model. For details, please refer to the Help Guide (Instruction Manual) for your camera.
