Headphones
This video introduces the noise cancelling feature of Sony’s new WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones.
The video opens entering a bright room with monotone colours, resembling an exhibition room or museum.
Inside the exhibition space, the camera arrives at an installation with a large number of cylindrical objects rotating and making noise around a black pair of WH-1000XM6 headphones floating at their centre.
A title reads "A New Standard in Noise Cancelling Headphones"
With a close-up of the headphones, spots on the body become transparent to reveal several microphones and the caption "1.5x Sensors. 12 Microphones. Precise Noise Detection"
The noise cancellation system is activated and the movement of the objects stops and become silent. The camera pulls back to reveal a full view of the headphones inside the now-motionless exhibit with the title "Beyond Quiet. The Best Noise Cancelling"
We cut to an expanding image of the internal structure of the headphones, pulling out to reveal it is displayed in a glass case, labelled with details about the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 and various driver components.
Titles read “Engineered to perfection”
A series of close up shots feature the circuit board with the caption "Next-Gen Chip 7x Faster. Flawless Control".
This is followed by a shot of the driver unit with the title "Newly Developed Driver Unit Authenticity, in every note". The shot of the driver smoothly transitions to its place in another glass case where it is surrounded by black sand. The sand smoothly spreads outward into a series of circular waves, in time with the sound.
As the camera pulls back, it reveals the glass case with a label referencing Sound Quality.
In the next exhibit, countless shining tiles are chaotically pulsing with a low frequency clicking on a large circular disk. At the centre are platinum silver-colored headphones. As the camera approaches, the uneven and awkward movement of the tiles gradually become smoother and more aligned, until they are rippling in concentric waves under the titles "Premium Sound / Co-Created with world-renowned masters”
Three mastering studios: Sterling Sound, Battery Studios and Coast Mastering logos are shown.
As the camera pulls back, we see the calming minimalistic beauty of the installation, with smoothly undulating tiles and headphones among shafts of light from the ceiling.
The logos of High-Resolution Audio and DSEE Extreme are shown.
We arrive at the next exhibit, labelled 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema, where a curtain of threads hang from the ceiling, behind a pedestal on which a pair of headphones float. As the camera moves in closer, the threads spread to wrap and envelope the headphones under the title "Cinema comes alive with 360 Reality Audio Upmix for Cinema"
In another minimalistic room, a smartphone ring is heard as the camera moves towards a display of headphones floating on a cylindrical pedestal. A lit-up smartphone is in front of the headphones.
Titles read “Ultra Clear Calls”
As the camera closes in on the headphones, a circle of black sand on the pedestal between the headphones and the smartphone seems to move and re-form into a small ring directly under the headphone's earpads.
Titles read "Focused on your voice with 6x New AI Beamforming Mics"
The next room is a dark space with a black pedestal and platinum silver-coloured headphones floating above it. Projected over the headphones is an unfocused sound waveform made from white light. As the camera pulls wider, the wavy light becomes more focused and refined into a clear, slowly moving wave.
Titles read "Separate the noise with Intelligent Noise Reduction"
We then cut to a close-up shot of the earpad portion of black, then midnight-blue, -coloured headphones, focusing on the hinged and smoothly actuated design.
Titles read “All-day comfort”
The buttons on the bottom of the platinum silver-coloured headphones are visible under the title “Intuitive Controls”, followed by a wider shot of the headphones with the title "30 hours play / 3 hours play with 3 minutes charge"
Switching to a close-up shot of black-coloured headphones from below, a USB cable is connected and a small charge indicator LED is lit, with the title “Listen and charge, all at once”
Then the black headphones animate into their folded position as they move gently into the supplied, fitted headphone case.
Titles read “A seamless, durable fold” as the case is closed and sealed magnetically.
The final shot shows an exhibit of the three headphones in black, platinum silver, and midnight blue floating above a pedestal in a gallery-like room, labelled with general product information. The shot transitions to a close-up of the three headphones as the pedestal disappears.
The video ends with the products floating in a white space, and the title “WH-1000X M6 The Best Noise Cancelling Headphones”, followed by the animated Sony logo.
